Abrites BN016 includes key programming for BDC versions 85 or higher by OBDII. The licence performs key programming procedures — adding a spare key and all keys lost — on BDC and CAS4 F-Series BMW vehicles by OBD, and on FEM cars. Abrites describes the CAS4 and BDC cars as done completely via OBDII; FEM cars are listed separately, without that claim, so do not assume an OBDII-only procedure on FEM.
Main functionalities
- Key programming for F-series vehicles with BDC or CAS4 — by OBDII (BDC versions 85 and higher included)
- Key programming for F-series vehicles with FEM
- Adaptation of BDC modules by OBDII for F-series

- Mileage calibration (dashboard excluded)
- ISN read, write and change

What you need alongside it. To carry out the key programming procedures you will need the ZN103 PROTAG programmer, and the CB015 BMW ENet cable is strongly recommended. In all keys lost situations the BN012 licence is also required, because that is what reads the ISN from the DME/DDE. For bench work on the module itself, the ZN151 Distribution Box Set is the usual companion.
An AVDI interface with an active annual subscription is required to use this licence. Delivered electronically; your AVDI serial number is needed to process the order.
