Abrites ZN103 PROTAG Programmer with TA31
The new-generation Abrites PROTAG Programmer (ZN103, formerly ZN003) is the latest upgrade to the Abrites key programming tool. It carries the full functionality of the ZN002 and extends it, so you can work on keys and transponders used in the newest authentication systems and immobilisers.
The ZN103 is durable and ergonomically shaped for easier handling, with three slots for different transponder types — one of them developed specifically for Mercedes-Benz truck keys. The slot layout is optimised to remove transponder positioning errors and get more work done in less time. PROTAG is ready to programme every key and transponder Abrites produces plus a wide range of OEM ones, which makes it the reference key programming tool for the professional locksmith.
It is straightforward, quick and dependable in daily use. The unit ships with a USB Type-C cable and an internal battery, and a future extension for Bluetooth operation with iOS and Android devices is planned.

Low-level transponder operations: read and write user data, read and write remote control data, operation mode configuration, authentication, secret key programming, NVR (EEPROM) memory access and automatic transponder detection.
Radio and infrared hardware. A built-in radio transceiver, receiver and analyser covers the 300–348 MHz, 387–464 MHz and 779–928 MHz ISM/SRD bands with 2-FSK, 4-FSK, GFSK and MSK support plus OOK and flexible ASK shaping — scanning remotes at 315, 433, 868 and 915 MHz. The infrared transmitter, receiver and analyser is built for Mercedes-Benz infrared and truck keys, giving better dump detection, fast key generation, programming of all blank key types by IR, and detailed key information including status, ROM version and position. Low-frequency 125 kHz transponders can be read, programmed and authenticated, including the latest NXP (HITAG-3, HITAG-Pro, HITAG-AES) and Texas (DST-AES, CRAID-AES) generations.
Technical data: 135 × 82 × 33 mm, 190 g, 5V DC power, 1100 mAh battery, 0.3A consumption, USB Type-C interface. Storage −20°C to 70°C at 5–90% humidity (non-condensing); operation 5°C to 40°C.
The TA31 Abrites extractor is included in the box. This is the tool that unlocks the rest of the range — the TA-series keys and emulators are programmed through it, so it is the second purchase after the AVDI for anyone doing key work.
An AVDI interface with an active annual subscription is required to complete these procedures. Hardware warranty is two years from the date of purchase, covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
