The Abrites Annual Maintenance Subscription (AMS) keeps your AVDI diagnostic and working capabilities up to date with the latest functionalities and the legacy licences that belong to the basic software. An AVDI with an active subscription gives you a wide range of possibilities across vehicle brands, with support for over 90% of the cars, trucks and other vehicles on the road.

This is Tier 1 — the price that applies when you renew within 60 days of the expiry date. If you let it run longer, Tier 2 or Tier 3 pricing applies instead, so renewing on time is the cheapest way to stay current.

What the subscription gives you

  • Access to all Abrites online services
  • The latest Abrites software version
  • Updates to existing functions

What it does not include. The subscription covers the basic AVDI software only. Paid special-function licences — BMW, Mercedes-Benz, VAG and the rest — are not included; they are bought separately, and each one needs an active subscription to be purchased and used.

After every software update the online and offline services gain improvements, new functionality and new features — an active subscription is what puts them one click away.

Highlights included in the basic AVDI software

  • Key programming: all keys lost and spare key programming, plus EZS password extraction, for all DAS3/FBS3 Mercedes-Benz vehicles via OBDII
  • Module adaptation: service password reading to make all DAS-related Mercedes-Benz modules virgin, adaptation, personalisation and activation of all DAS/FBS modules, read/save/update/transfer of FBS data
  • Key programming for CAS3 and CAS3+ BMW vehicles
  • Key programming and all keys lost for Toyota, Lexus and Scion vehicles up to 2018 — G-type and H-type mechanical and smart keys, via OBDII
  • Smart system reset for Toyota and Lexus up to 2018
  • Key programming for Honda up to MY2022
  • Full vehicle scan, module identification, reading and clearing DTCs, live data, actuator tests, service interval reset
  • SAE-compliant J2534 PassThru driver for running OEM software through the AVDI
  • And hundreds more

Why it matters for licences. When you buy a licence for a specific job — BMW key programming, for example — the AVDI still needs a stable connection to the Abrites servers for the background work and calculations. That is why nearly every licence carries the note "AVDI with an active AMS required". Most Abrites special functions depend on the subscription, and an active AMS is required in order to purchase a special function at all.

Checking whether yours is active. Open the Abrites menu, choose a brand, and look at the top right corner next to the connection icon — the message there reads "AMS valid until" followed by the expiry date.

Renewal tiers. Tier 1 covers renewal within 60 days of expiry. Tier 2 applies from day 61 through the twelfth month after expiry. Tier 3 applies once more than 12 months have passed — and note that your AVDI replacement warranty is void one year after the subscription goes inactive.

The subscription runs for 12 months from activation and renewal is due on the date that period ends. It does not include technical support; that is covered separately by the Abrites Support Plan (SPS). An AVDI interface is required, and your AVDI serial number is needed to process the order.
