Background:

  1. CAN Drive Function: In modern vehicles, components such as the dashboard, audio system, gear lever, and handbrake primarily enter a working state via CAN (Controller Area Network) transmission. When automotive technicians detach modules from the vehicle's CAN network during servicing, these components may fail to operate. The CAN Drive Function simulates CAN communication, allowing the ECU (Electronic Control Unit) module to wake up and enter a working state for testing and verification. This function eliminates the need for multiple startup platforms and wiring harnesses for various vehicle models, reducing costs for technicians.
  2. Gateway Function: Many modern vehicles are equipped with gateway modules to manage protocol types and baud rates for ECU and diagnostic scanner communication. However, detecting ECU modules with a diagnostic scanner often requires an additional connection to the vehicle’s gateway, complicating the process. The MT203 gateway simulator emulates various automotive gateways, enabling protocol and baud rate conversion. This allows the diagnostic scanner to efficiently communicate with the ECU module without needing different gateways for each model, saving costs and reducing the need for wiring test platforms.

Applicable Maintenance Scenarios:

  1. Repair of automotive electronic ECUs, including airbag, dashboard, and BCM modules, using a simulation gateway diagnostic test via BENCH.
  2. CAN drive testing for automotive electronic ECUs, such as dash, audio, gear lever, and AC panel modules, via BENCH.
  3. Repair of electric vehicle components, including compressors, DCDC converters, and on-board chargers, using simulation gateway diagnostic tests via BENCH.
